Carlos Sainz Takes Pole Position
Qualifying for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix took place on Saturday, September 30th at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz took pole position with a time of 1:49.460, ahead of Red Bull's Sergio Perez and Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc.
The qualifying session was held in wet conditions, with heavy rain falling throughout. This made it difficult for drivers to set fast lap times, and there were several spins and crashes during the session.
Sainz was able to set the fastest time in Q3, despite making a mistake on his final lap. Perez was just 0.054 seconds behind Sainz, while Leclerc was a further 0.063 seconds back in third.
