Sri Lanka defeated India by 4 wickets in the second One-Day International (ODI) match played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 276, Sri Lanka rode on a brilliant century by Pathum Nissanka (117) and a half-century by Charith Asalanka (53) to reach the target with 4 wickets in hand and 10 balls to spare.

For India, Deepak Chahar was the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets for 54 runs, while Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav picked up 2 wickets each.

Earlier, India had posted a total of 275 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs, thanks to a brilliant century by Shreyas Iyer (102) and a half-century by Sanju Samson (52).
