Candidates vying for the presidency of the European Commission outlined their goals during a recent press conference. Jean-Claude Juncker, the Spitzenkandidat of the European People's Party (EPP), pledged to create a more bike-friendly Europe by investing in infrastructure and promoting cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation. Meanwhile, Manfred Weber, the Spitzenkandidat of the European People's Party (EPP), pledged to prioritize the needs of motorcyclists and ensure their safety on European roads.

Other Candidates' Aspirations

Other candidates also presented their visions for the EU. Martin Schulz of the Party of European Socialists (PES) called for a "social Europe" that supports workers' rights and promotes social justice. Guy Verhofstadt of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) advocated for a more integrated and federal EU.
